How you can help · Jenkintown Food Cupboard

Choose how you’ll help.

A financial gift, a volunteer shift, groceries brought in, or a group you bring together: each one helps neighbors get the food and essentials they need. Find the path that fits you.

300+

families bring home groceries from JFC in a typical week. Support also reaches neighbors through diapers and essentials, home delivery, and outreach beyond the cupboard.

Start with what you can offer

Two powerful ways to begin.

Choose the kind of support that fits your time and resources. Each path leads to the practical details and a clear next step.

01 / GIVE FINANCIALLY

Put resources where they’re needed.

Your gift helps JFC purchase fresh food, protein, dairy, pantry staples, diapers, and other essentials as needs change. The giving page covers one-time and monthly gifts, checks, and Venmo.

02 / GIVE YOUR TIME

Be part of what happens each week.

Help with distributions, stocking, delivery, or the work behind the scenes. See the roles and signup process, then contact the Volunteer Coordinator before coming in.

03 / BRING FOOD AND ESSENTIALS

Useful food, ready to share.

Unexpired, shelf-stable groceries can go straight into JFC’s donation bins. If you want to give diapers, hygiene products, or other household essentials, ask what sizes and items are needed now before you shop. For fresh food, refrigerated items, or a large donation, coordinate with JFC first.

  • Check dates and packaging before donating.
  • Ask about current needs for a large collection.
  • Arrange perishable or bulk donations in advance.

04 / BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER

Your group can do something concrete.

A school, faith community, neighborhood, or workplace can collect food and essentials or raise funds for JFC. Tell us your idea and timing before you launch; we can share current needs and help you plan a drive that is genuinely useful.

For volunteer groups, each participant needs to complete JFC’s volunteer signup process before a shift.

05 / PARTNER WITH JFC

Have food, resources, or expertise to share?

Grocers, farms, food businesses, employers, and community organizations can help JFC source food, reduce waste, fund programs, offer services, or mobilize a team. Tell us what you can offer and where you’re based so we can discuss a useful fit.
